Save Result Action

Save Result Action

This Action saves the result from the previous Action. Saved results can be opened and passed back into a Workflow using the Open Result Action.  By default, within a particular Workflow, a saved result is only accessible to other Actions below the Save Result Action. However, a saved result can be made accessible to all Workflows and Actions by globalizing it. Items passed into this Action are returned as the output. See 'The ins and outs of Global Saved Results' for more information.

This Action accepts and saves Files/Folders and URLs data types.

Remove Missing Finder Items

Remove Missing Finder Items Action

This Action removes missing Finder items from the result passed by the previous Action. This Action can be set to stop if all Finder items are removed. Use this Action in combination with the Open Result Action to filter saved results of missing or moved files.

If a folder already exists with the same name as the new folder, a number is appended to the name of the new folder. The result passed from the previous Action can be copied, moved into the new folder, or ignored. The output from this Action can be:

  • a reference to the new folder,
  • a reference to the copied or moved items inside the new folder, or
  • the result from the previous Action.

This Action accepts the Files/Folders data type.
