What is the First Common Folder?
The first common folder is defined as "the folder that all items passed have in common." Consequently, in the file path, the first common folder will be farthest from the root folder. For example, if the items passed to an action contain references to files
- /Users/Bob/Desktop/Report.pdf
- /Users/Bob/Desktop/images/chart.gif
then the first common folder is the Desktop folder (/Users/Bob/Desktop).
If a folder is passed to this Action then the first common folder will
be a passed folder.

Shows the Finder items passed into the Get Common Folder Action
and the subsequent result.
