The ins and outs of Global Saved Results

To globalize a saved result check the "Make Global" checkbox in the Save Result Action. This will add the saved result to the global result database from where it can be opened and resaved in any Workflow. Once you have globalized a Save Result Action deleting it from a particular Workflow will not remove it from the global result database. Use the AWA Manager Action to manage the removal of globally saved results. If you are creating a Workflow and need a global saved result but don’t want a Save Result Action in the final Workflow, add the Save Result Action to the Workflow, name it, globalize it and then remove it from the Workflow.

Global saved results can be used to create flexible and dynamic Workflows. However, you need to remember where (in which Workflows) and why (for what purpose) global saved results have been used. Assigning a descriptive name to a saved result will help you keep track of where and why you’ve used a global saved result. We suggest including:

• the type of data the saved result will contain,
• the Action from which the result originated, and
• the title of the Workflow.
